Ortaokulda Görev Yapan Öğretmenlerin Teknoloji Okuryazarlık Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Teknoloji ve eğitim unsurları insan hayatının daha etken hale getirilmesi açısından önem taşımaktadır. Teknoloji, eğitim ile kazanılan bilgi becerileri daha verimli kullanma ve onları bilinçli ve sistemli bir şekilde uygulama konusunda yardımcı olmaktadır. Eğitim alanında teknoloji kullanımına ilişkin öğretmenlerin rolü oldukça önemli ve büyüktür. Çünkü öğretmenin teknolojiye olan tutumu, teknolojiyi bilinçli kullanma çabası, teknolojinin doğasını kavraması, teknolojiyi tasarlaması, içinde bulunduğu topluma etkilerinin neler olduğunu sorgulaması ve çok yönlü olarak eğitimde ve ders dışı etkinliklerde teknolojiyi etkin biçimde kullanması öğrencileri etkilemektedir. Çalışma, nicel araştırma türlerinden olan betimsel tarama modeli ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ağrı ili Doğubayazıt ilçesinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı ortaokul kademesinde görev yapan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma örnekleminde 265 öğretmen bulunmaktadır. Araştırmada veriler, 'Öğretmenler İçin Teknoloji Okuryazarlık Ölçeği'' ile elde edilmiştir. Ölçek uygulaması pandemi nedeniyle Google Formlar aracılığıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde dağılımın normallik göstermesi nedeniyle parametrik testler kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre ortaokulda görev yapan öğretmenlerin teknoloji okuryazarlığı ölçeğinden almış oldukları puanların ölçeğin genelinde ve tüm alt boyutlarında yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Bununla birlikte öğretmenlerin teknoloji okuryazarlığı ölçeğinden almış oldukları puanların cinsiyet, mezuniyet ve kıdem değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmamıştır. Daha önce teknoloji ile ilgili bir eğitime katılan öğretmenlerin ''Yaşam Becerileri'' alt boyutunda eğitim almayanlara göre daha iyi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Technology and education are important elements in terms of making human life more effective. Technology helps to use the knowledge and skills gained through education more efficiently and to apply them consciously and systematically. The role of teachers regarding the use of technology in the field of education is very important and great. Because the teacher's attitude towards technology, his effort to use technology consciously, his understanding of the nature of technology, his design of technology, his questioning about the effects on his society and his effective use of technology in education and extracurricular activities affect students. A cross-sectional survey model was used in the research. The universe of the research consists of teachers working at the secondary school level affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı province in the 2020-2021 academic year. There are 265 teachers in the research sample. The data in the research were obtained from the 'Technology Literacy Scale for Teachers'. The scale implementation was carried out through Google Forms due to the pandemia. In the analysis of the data, parametric tests were used since the distribution showed normality. According to the results of the research, there was no significant difference in the scores of the teachers in the technology literacy scale according to the variables of gender, graduation and seniority. It was concluded that the teachers who had attended a technology-related training before were better than those who did not receive training in the 'Life Skills' sub-dimension.
