Leylâ Erbil'in Cüce Novellasında Bilinç Akımı

Abstract

Bu tezde bilinç akımı kavramı hakkında genel bir anlayış geliştirmek ve Leylâ Erbil'in (1931-2013), ilk olarak 2001 de basılan Cüce'de bu anlatı tekniğini ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın genel problemi 'Bilinç akımı yöntemi nedir?' sorusudur. Bu soru, yöntemin niteliklerinin anlaşılmasını gerekli kılar. Tezin ilk bölümünde bilinç akımı, iç monolog, iç çözümleme gibi 'zihinden geçenler' anlamıyla ortak özellik gösteren teknikler açıklanmaya ikinci bölümde Leylâ Erbil'in eseri göz önünde tutularak bilinç akımının bazı nitelikleri bulunmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu nitelikler, çağrışım, bazı tekniklerin bilinç akımı yöntemi içinde özümsenerek kullanılması, dil ve dilbilgisel özellikler, bilinçlilik halleri, anlatı kişilerinin fiziksel eylem- zihinsel eylem bağlamında değerlendirilmesi ve karakterin nitelikleri olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın bir başka ve önemli bir problemi anlatıcı ile bilinç akımının arasındaki ilişkidir. Anlatıcı ile bilinç akımı birbirini dışlayan özelliktedir. Anlatmak ediminin olmaması bilinç akımı yönteminin özüyle ilgili bir durumdur. 'Ben anlatıcı' dahi bu yöntemin dışında kalmaktadır. Oysa Leylâ Erbil' in bilinç akımını gördüğümüz karakterlerinde bir anlatıcı edası da hissedilmektedir. Buradan da hareketle bilinç akımı ile anlatıcının birbirini dışlamasının hangi anlama geldiği çalışmanın bir başka problemini oluşturdu. Cüce'de anlatıcı ve bilinç akımı başlığında bu konu irdelenmiştir. Bu konu çalışmanın diğer bölümlerinde de ilgisi dâhilinde ele alınmıştır. Çünkü asıl odak bilinç akımı olduğundan anlatıcının dışlanması diğer bilinç akımı niteliklerinde de devam eder. Cüce eserinde 'Yazarın Notu' adlı kısımda anlatıcının varlığına ve anlatıcının ışığından karaktere bakılmıştır. Bu kısım bilinç akımı yöntemiyle ilgili kurmaca açısından ipuçları da içermektedir. Eserin türünün novella olması, hermenötik bir metin olması, yazarın hiçbir kuram, tekniğe katı bir şekilde bağlanmaması, eklektik bir tutumu benimsemesi, bilinç akımı yöntemiyle ayrıca bir uyum oluşturur. In this thesis, it is aimed to develop an understanding about the concept of stream of consciousness and reveal this concept in Leyla Erbil's Cüce published in 2001. The general problem of this study is the question of 'what is a stream of consciousness?' This question makes characteristics of method understood essentially. In the first chapter, it is tried to explain techniques such as the stream of consciousness, interior monologue and interior analysis that is in the scope of 'occurring in the mind' and in the second chapter it is aimed to find out characteristics of the stream of consciousness by taking Leyla Erbil's work into consideration. These characteristics are determined as an association, language and grammatical properties, consciousness, evaluation of persons in narration within the context of physical and cognitive acts and characteristics of characters. Another and important problem of the study is the relation between narrator and stream of consciousness. Narrator and stream of consciousness exclude each other. The absence of the act of narration is a situation related to the essence of stream of consciousness. Even first person narrator is out of this situation. However, a narrator manner is observed in the characters of Leyla Erbil. From this point of view, what exclusion of narrator and stream of consciousness mean is another problem of our study. This topic under the title of narrator and stream of consciousness has been evaluated in has been evaluated in Cüce. This topic is dealt in other chapters of the study. As the essential focus is the stream of consciousness, the exclusion of narrator continues in other characteristics of the stream of consciousness. In Cüce, the being of narrator and character is searched within the light of the narrator. This part of the study includes some clues about the method of stream of consciousness in terms of fiction. As the genre of work is a novella and because it is a hermeneutic text and writer does not strictly depend on a theory or a technique and adopt an eclectic manner, the text is compatible with the method of stream of consciousness.
