Distopyaların Değerlerin Aktarımı Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract

Geleceğe dair ön görüler toplumların karşılaşılabilecekleri olumsuz durumları önceden tespit etme adına büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Distopya yazarları bu tarz ön görüleri kurgulayarak okuyucuya alternatif olumsuz toplum düzeni sunmaktadır. Bu nedenle bu toplumların incelenmesi eğitim alanında yapılacak yanlışların önüne geçilmesi açısından önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada amaç distopyaların değerlerin aktarımı açısından geleceğe dair yaptığı öngörüleri incelemektir. Çalışmanın giriş kısmında araştırmanın problem durumu, amacı ve yöntemi belirlenmiştir. Birinci bölümde ütopya, distopya, din ve değer kavramları ve ütopya ve distopyalarda eğitime yer vererek araştırmanın kavramsal çerçevesi çizilmiştir. İkinci bölünde ise ilk kez baskısı yapılan distopik eserlerde MEB'in öğretim programlarına koyduğu on kök değer incelenmiştir. Buna göre seçilen distopyalar, Zaman Makinesi, Demir Ökçe, Biz, Dava, Cesur Yeni Dünya, 1984, Fahrenheit 451 ve Androidler Elektrikli Koyun Düşler mi? distopyalarıdır. Araştırma kapsamında incelenen distopyalardan elde edilen sonuçlara göre adalet, özdenetim ve sevgi değerlerinin en çok bahsi geçen değerler olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu değerlerden adalet ve öz denetim değerleri distopyalarda eksikliği sebebiyle ön plana çıkarken sevgi değeri hem eksikliği hem de gerçekliği ile ön plana çıkmıştır. Bununla birlikte varlığına en az değinilen değerler yardımseverlik ve dostluk değerleri olmuştur. Forecasts about the future are of great importance in terms of detecting the negative situations that societies may encounter in advance. Dystopian writers construct such predictions and present an alternative negative society order to the reader. For this reason, the axamination of these societies is important in terms of preventing mistakes in the field of education. The aim of this study is to examine the predictions of dystopias about the future in terms of transfer values. In the introduction part of the study, the problem situation, purpose and method of the research were determined. In the first part, the conceptual framework of the research was drawn by giving place to the concepts of utopia, dystopia, religion and value and education in utopia and dystopia. In the second part, the ten base values hat the Ministry of Education put into the curriculum in dystopian works that were published fort he first time were examined. Dystopias chosen accordingly, The Time Machine, The Iron Heel, We, The Trial, Brave New World, 1984, Fahrenheit 451 and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? are dystopias. According to the results obtained from the dystopias examined within the scope of the research, it has been revealed that the values of justice, self-control and love are the most mentioned values. Among these values, the values of justice and self-control come to the forefront due to their lack in dystopias, while the value of love has come to the fore both with its lack and its reality. However, the least mentioned values were the values of benevolence and friendship.
