Abstract
Inflammatory pseudotumors are uncommon benign lesions of unknown etiology which may develop at several anatomical sites, e.g., lung, soft tissue, liver, the orbit, spleen, lymph node and bladder. The renal site is extremely rare, and presents the problem of differential diagnosis with renal tumor. To our knowledge, 17 cases of this tumor have been reported in the literature. We report a case of renal inflammatory pseudotumor that originated from the left kidney of a 51 years old woman in the light of literature.
