Abstract
In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C13H12N2O, all atoms except for the methyl H atoms are coplanar and the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 1.38 (7)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O - H⋯N and C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules to form two edge-fused R 2 2(6) motifs. They are also connected by C - H⋯π and π-π inter-actions between phenyl-diazenyl rings [centroid-to-centroid distance and plane-to-plane separation 3.708 (1) and 3.418 Å, respectively] to form a three-dimensional network. The two N atoms are disordered over two positions, the site-occupancy ratio being 3:2. © International Union of Crystallography 2007.
