Publication: Parametrelerin Değişimi Metodu ve Sınır Değer Problemlerine Uygulanması
Abstract
This thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, some basic definitions and theorems are presented. In the second chapter, an overview of the method of variation of parameters is presented and applied to two example problems. In the final chapter, the method of variation of parameters is used to obtain solutions to three specific problems: The corneal topography equation, Bratu-like equation arising in electrospinning, and the Brachistochrone problem. These problems are also solved by the other numerical methods such as the method of shooting, the method of differential transform and the method of finite difference. Finally, the obtained solutions are compared with the preceding solutions.
