Hepatik Hidrotoraks

Abstract

Hepatik hidrotoraks (HH), karaciğer sirozlu hastalarda kardiyak hastalık bulguları ya da infeksiyöz ve malignensi gibi durumlar olmadan plevral sıvısı varlığı olarak tanımlanır. Sirotik hastalarda insidansı %0.4-12.2 arasında rapor edilmektedir. Hepatik hidrotoraks tanısı klinik presentasyon temelli olduğundan kolaydır. Son çalışmaların ışığında, bu hastalarda transjuguler intrahepatik portosistemik şant en etkili tedavi biçimi olarak görünmektedir.

Hepatic hydrothorax (HH) is defined as the presence of a pleural effusion in a cirrhotic patient without any evidence of cardiopulmonary disease or other identifiable explanation such as infection or malignancy. The incidence has been reported as 0.4-12.2% of cirrhotics. It is usually easy to establish the diagnosis of HH, based on the clinical presentation. Based on current studies, transjugular intrahepatic portal systemic shunts appear to be most effective form of treatment for these patients.
