3-(4-Ethylanilino)Isobenzofuran-1(3H)-one

Abstract

Crystals of the title compound, C16H15NO2, are stabilized by inter-molecular N - H⋯O and C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The N - H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate C(6) chains along the c axis; these chains are further connected by C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming R 4 4(21) motifs and a three-dimensional network. The phthalide group is planar and the dihedral angle between it and the benzene ring is 68.75 (2)°. © International Union of Crystallography 2007.
