Abstract
Bu araştırma ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin okuma motivasyonlarını etkileyen faktörlere ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma Samsun İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı devlet okullarında 2013-2014 eğitim - öğretim yılında öğrenim gören 986 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisi üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi oranlı küme örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenmiş ve uygulama için gidilen okullar rastgele (random) belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sürecinde ölçme aracı olarak; Ülper (2011a) tarafından geliştirilen, 35 maddelik 'İlkokul Öğrencilerinin Okumaya Güdüleyen Faktörlere İlişkin Görüşlerini Belirleme Anketi' kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin çözümlenmesi, SPSS 17.0 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) paket programıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Anket sonunda elde edilen verilerin analizlerinde frekans ve yüzde değerleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin okuma motivasyonlarını öğretmenlerin ve kitapların her zaman, ailelerin sık sık, arkadaşların ara sıra etkiledikleri tespit edilmiştir.
This study was conducted to determine the opinions of primary school 4th grade students about the factors that affect their reading motivation. The research was carried out on 986 4th grade students in public schools of Samsun Provincial Directorate of National Education in 2013-2014 academic year. The sample of the study was determined by proportional cluster sampling method and randomized schools were selected for application. As a measurement tool in the research process; A 35-item leme Questionnaire for Determining Primary School Students' Perceptions of Reading-Driving Factors en developed by Ülper (2011a) was used. The data were analyzed with SPSS 17.0 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). Frequency and percentage values were used in the analysis of the data obtained at the end of the survey. According to the results of the study, it was found that teachers and books always affect the motivation of students to read, families frequently and friends occasionally.
