1,1'-(Propane-1,3-diyl)Bis[2-(Methylsulfanyl)-1H-Benzimidazole] Dihydrate

Abstract

In the title compound, C<inf>19</inf>H<inf>20</inf>N<inf>4</inf>S <inf>2</inf>·2H<inf>2</inf>O, the two 1H-benzimidazole groups are bridged by a propane chain; the dihedral angle between the benzimidazole ring systems is 74.61 (3)°. The organic molecules and solvent water molecules form O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. There are also O-H⋯O, C-H⋯S, C-H⋯π and π-π interactions in the crystal structure. © 2007 International Union of Crystallography. All rights reserved.
