Publication: Orta Karadeniz Kıyı Şeridinde Su ve Sediman Kirliliğinin Araştırılması
Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to determine the industrial pollution and various other pollution factors that the Black Sea Basin is exposed to by DGT (Widespread Gradients) method in water and sediment and to evaluate the current pollution according to the quality standards. For this purpose, Akkiraz Deresi, Hıdırellez Deresi, OSB Channel, Şabanoğlu Deresi and Selyeri Creek selected in Samsun-Tekkeköy region were sampled in three different seasons in September 2017, December 2017 and April 2018. . Although these samples were analyzed in situ, physical and chemical analyzes were carried out in the laboratory environment. In order to determine the land-based pollutant loads (BOI5, NO3-N, NO2-N, TN, ortho-P, TP, TOC) from the points where the sampling points are discharged to the sea, the sediment sample with the Ekman-Bridge sediment sampler, Water samples were taken seasonally with ISCO GLS sampling device and various parameters (% organic matter content,% water content, particle distribution etc.) were observed. In water samples, analyzes (pH, conductivity, temperature, TOC, Cl, N, Fe, Mn, P) were performed according to the standard method (APHA, AWWA, 1999). In addition, the main subject of the study was the metal content of water and sediment. Although the concentrations of heavy metals did not exceed the limit values in DGT applied water samples, Zn, Ni and Pb accumulation were observed in sediment samples. It was determined that Ni and Pb had no change in depth and a continuous accumulation and Zn concentration increased with depth. In the sediment samples taken in December 2017, the average metal concentrations were determined as Al> Fe> Mg> Mn> Zn> Pb> Ni, sediment samples taken in September 2017 Fe> Al> Mg> Zn> Mn> Pb> Ni, April 2018 The mean metal concentrations in the sediment samples were Mg> Al> Fe> Zn> Mn> Pb> Ni.
