Publication: Endüstri 5.0 ve Toplum 5.0'a Uygun Yeni Bir Akıllı Şehir Yönetişim Modeli Önerisi
Abstract
This thesis study aims to develop a more effective and sustainable smart city governance model in the context of Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0 in the future by comparatively addressing smart city applications worldwide. First, a comprehensive literature review was conducted on the concept of smart city, its components and existing technologies. Then, successful and unsuccessful examples of applications around the world were examined and the reasons for the successful and unsuccessful results were investigated. As a result, a new smart city governance model that is compatible with the principles of Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0, human-centered and compatible with technological developments was proposed. The literature review on the concept of smart city, its technologies and components provided the basis for understanding the dynamics of these applications. As a result of this study, an innovative smart city governance model compatible with the principles of Society 5.0, which aims to provide human-based solutions to the social, economic and environmental needs of societies on the path to digitalization, especially with Industry 5.0 based on human-machine collaboration and society-oriented approaches, was developed. This new model will guide the cities of the future by offering sustainability, innovation and human-centered solutions. In this new proposed model, solutions focused on sustainability, social welfare and digital transformation are highlighted. The aim of this model is to provide flexible and innovative city planning that aims to increase the quality of life of citizens while minimizing the environmental impacts of cities. The results of the thesis are an academic research that provides an idea for future smart city applications.
