Effects of Menopause on the Sexual Activity

Abstract

The androgen and estrogen decline associated with menopause contribute to decreased libido and impaired sexual function. In the postmenopausal women, combined androgen and estrogen therapy increases sexual sensation, desire and frequency of sexual intercourse compared with estrogen alone.
