Roger Haight'in Kristoloji Yorumu: Tanrı'nın Sembolü Olarak İsa

Abstract

Bu çalışma Amerikalı Cizvit teolog Roger Haight'in kristoloji algısını konu edinmekte; tarihsellik ve varoluş perspektifiyle şekillenen antropolojik bir kristoloji yorumunun imkanı ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir. Üç bölümden oluşan çalışmanın ilk bölümünde Haight'in teoloji ve kristoloji yorumunu daha iyi anlayabilmek adına, teologun iman, vahiy, dini tecrübe gibi olguları klasik dönemden farklı olarak ne şekilde tanımladığı incelenmiş ve Haight'in kullanmış olduğu teolojik metot ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde teologun çeşitli Yeni Ahit kristolojilerini, temel Hıristiyan doktrinlerini ve bu doktrinlerin inanç esasları olarak kabul edildiği İznik ve Kadıköy Konsillerini ne şekilde eleştirdiği ve günümüz Hıristiyanları için nasıl revize ettiği tartışılmıştır. Çalışmanın üçüncü ve son bölümünde ise pek çok klasik kristoloji yorumuna dayanak teşkil eden Logos kristolojisine mukabil Haight'in Spirit / Ruh kristolojisi, bu kristoloji doğrultusunda oluşan 'Hıristiyan maneviyatı' vurgusu ve teologun İsa ve diğer din mensuplarını arasındaki ilişkiyi nasıl yorumladığı ele alınmıştır. İsa'yı Tanrı'nın tarihsel bir sembolü olarak kabul eden Haight, çalışmalarıyla gerek Yeni Ahit metinleri ve klasik dönem, gerek Aydınlanma sonrası modern ve postmodern dönem kristolojilerin pluralistik dilini göstermeyi hedeflemektedir. Haight'in kristoloji dili Hıristiyanlık dışındaki dinlerin sahihliği ve taraftarlarını kurtuluşa ulaştırabileceklerinin kabulüne de imkan sunmaktadır. This study deals with the christological interpretation of an American Jesuit theologian Roger Haight and aims to determine the possibility of an anthropological christology which is based on the historical and existential perspective. In the first chapter of the study, which is consists of the three chapters, for the purpose of the better understanding the theological and christological interpretation of Roger Haight, it has been investigated how he describes phenomenons such as faith, revelation and religious experience as distinct from the Classical period and Haight's theological method has been studied. In the second chapter it has been discussed how Haight criticizes New Testament christologies, the basic Christian doctrines and the Councils of Nicaea and Chalcedon in which these doctrines were accepted as the principles of faith and how he revises them. In the third and last chapter it has been analyzed Spirit christology which Haight preferred instead of Logos christology, his emphasis on 'Christian spirituality' and how he interprets the relationship between Jesus and the followers of other religions. Haight, who recognizes Jesus as a symbol of God, tries to indicate in his studies the pluralistic language of christologies both in the New Testament and the Classical period and in the modern and postmodern world. Haight's christology enables the approval of the validity and truth of non-Christian religions and their salvific character.
